Tyrepower has extended its involvement with Australia’s premier motorsport category with the signing of an exclusive partnership with the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
Australia’s largest independent tyre retailer, Tyrepower has become Supercars’ ‘Official Tyre Retailer’ until the end of 2018 in a deal that enhances its existing commitment to the sport.
“Our decade-long involvement in Supercar racing has been a great way for us to enhance our brand awareness and engage with the Supercars audience,” Tyrepower Chief Executive Officer David Wilson said.
“Becoming the Official Tyre Retailer for Supercars creates further opportunities for the business to build on those initiatives, and enables us to engage in some more effective inter-active marketing.
“Ultimately, for Tyrepower it’s all about the quality of the products and services we deliver to our customers and our enhanced involvement in Supercars will help us communicate that message to a very car-savvy audience.”
Supercars Australia Managing Director Matt Braid said that expanding the partnership with Tyrepower was great for the sport as it continues to build into the future.
“Supercars is all about long-term relationships, and the one with Tyrepower is a decade strong now,” said Braid.
“Being able to expand that relationship for Tyrepower to become one of our Official Partners shows the trust Tyrepower hold in our brand, and the strength of the sport.”
Tyrepower’s new partnership brings with it high profile branding at every round of the Virgin Australia Supercar Championship, as well as Supercars marketing and promotional rights and several other internal benefits.
That’s in addition to Tyrepower’s existing naming-rights sponsorship of the Tyrepower Tasmania Supersprint round annually, and its support for the infamous Tyrepower Cutting corner, at Bathurst’s iconic Mt Panorama track.
Craig Lowndes, Supercar’s most popular, successful and recognised driver, is also the Tyrepower brand ambassador.
